About GAP Waste Management Inc.
GAP Waste Management Inc. was founded in 1989 by Joe Guglietti, better known to many as Joe “GAP.” The company began during one of Canada’s toughest economic periods, but Joe’s determination and hard work built a small two-person operation into one of the GTA’s trusted names in waste management.
What started with one truck, one driver, and one office staff quickly grew through steady, reliable service and long-term customer relationships. By 2003, GAP operated seven trucks with a full team of six drivers and eight administrative staff, serving clients across residential, commercial, and construction sectors.

Reputation Built on Reliability
From the start, GAP earned a reputation for reliability and strong client relationships. The company worked with leading developers and construction firms such as TACC Construction, Transpower, Rosehaven Homes, and The Conservatory Group. These partnerships reflect GAP’s dedication to providing consistent, responsive service — the kind of reliability that clients come back for year after year.
GAP’s growth wasn’t just about equipment or trucks; it was about people, relationships, and keeping promises on every job, no matter the scale.

The Partnership with Maple Waste
After years of collaboration, GAP Waste and Maple Waste Services made their long-standing relationship official through a merger that strengthened operations for both companies. GAP had long relied on Maple’s transfer facilities and support during busy periods, while Maple trusted GAP’s reputation for dependable hauling and customer care.
This partnership created a more streamlined and competitive service for customers across the GTA — combining experience, technology, and resources while keeping the same personal approach both companies were known for. Today, GAP continues to operate under the Maple Waste umbrella, preserving its legacy of quality service while contributing to a stronger, more connected waste management network.
